• Hi guys! As I say every month, where's this year gone! I hope you had a lovely June and enjoyed some of the fabulous weather we have been having :) As always, I love to do my little roundup. These posts are great to look back on for the diary keeping geeky lass that I am.

I went to Wanstead Park in Eping Forest (Essex for those who are unfamiliar with this part of the world). If you're looking for somewhere free to take the children over the summer holidays, then this is a beautiful park. It also has a little cafe hut where you can get your ice cream and coffee, then sit and be at one with nature.

As always I am still exploring my new home town. Last week I decided to stop relying on the tube and have a wander. The walk from St. Paul's to London Bridge station along the Millennium Bridge is fantastic.

A monthly round up wouldn't be complete without a quick food and drink look back :) I had a bit of a hectic month in terms of work, which unfortunately meant a quiet one on the going out front. I did have time to stop by at Zizzi, Baker Street. I have to say if you haven't tried the Rustica Primavera. I would definitely recommend it. It's goats’ cheese, aubergine, artichoke, peppers, olives, mozzarella, green pesto & rocket on a wholemeal base.

Next stop was Hush in St. Pauls. I had the Salt & Pepper small plate to start and the Marina Girl Salad, which is avocado, pumpkin seeds, feta. You can have it with chicken or prawns. I have to say it was beautiful food, but it did not fill me up. Maybe a salad is not enough to for a main meal, especially before a night out!

Last of was a visit to a bar near Billingsgate Market. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it. What is it with this new fad though, wine in a tumbler! Erm, no thanks - wine should be in a wine glass! Rant over :)

Other than that, the big news is I have finally passed my teacher training course! The holidays start here!

    How was you June?

    Lots of love,
    Helen xoxo
