• After all that Christmas indulgence, I thought I would do a healthier version of a choccie pudding. The natural sweetness of the banana and some chocolate flavourings will give you a lower-calorie option, or if you don’t care, I have given the option for a full-choccy indulgence :)



    You will need: 

    2/3 of a cup of mashed banana
    2/3 cup of milk
    1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract 
    2/3 cup of oats
    For the healthier version 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder and a teaspoon of Cocoa powder. Or 2 heaped tablespoon Cocoa powder if you don't care :)
    1/2 teaspoon of baking powder 
    Pinch of salt 
    1 tablespoon of chocolate chips (optional)


    Method:

    1.Measure out the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix together.

    2. Boil the kettle to prepare the steamer. Once boiled pour the water into a pan and place the steamer over. 

    3. Pour the mixture into greased ramekins or for a quirky different look, I used little tea cups. 

    4. Steam for 10-15 minutes. 

    5. Enjoy all the gooey yumminess. As you can see my brother was already tucking in before I had chance to photograph properly!


    Serving suggestions:

    Nice dollop of cream, or
    Greek yogurt and honey.
