• As I am fast approaching the grand old age of 36 (ouch!). I am more and more concerned about looking after my skin (wrinkle prevention!). Also, though my skin hasn't quite realised I am not a teenager anymore and I still have the occasional breakouts without oil control products.

So for me, a day cream must contain at a minimum SPF 15 and be designed for oily/combined skin. Here are two of my faves.

If you are anything like me, I won't touch a day cream unless it is a least SPF 15. Maybe, that doesn't matter in the summer when we slap on the old SPF 30, but I don't always so I want to know my skin is protected.

Boots No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream for Normal / Oily Skin 50ml £12.50 - I used to suffer from breakouts and this was the first moisturiser I was confident to use without suffering. Over the years though if I find myself a bit miffed by a moisturiser I have tried. I always go back and repurchase this little number. Especially, if Boots have the £5 off voucher promotion!

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Cream Normal/Combi 75m £5.99 - I was wandering through Superdrug and I noticed the promotion was 2 for £6 on selected Superdrug products. A bit of confused mental maths later I realised I would pay 1p (yes 1p!!!) for another face cream. At £5.99 for a 75ml face cream tub was enticing enough. It smells "clean" (reminds me slightly of a shaving foam smell). I have only used this for a week, but it gets the thumbs up from me.

What is your favourite day cream? Am I missing a great one?

    Helen xoxo
