• I love bath bombs and as much as I adore shopping in Lush, sometimes I really like making my own. It's fun and easy and they look and smell exactly as I want them to.

I am going to show you how I make one medium bath bomb and some cute little fizzy cakes. To make the bomb you will need a mould. You can buy moulds from the likes of Ebay. The fizzy cakes are just simply made like cakes in a cake tray.

    Here's what you need:
    170g baking powder
    50g cornflour
    50g Epson salt
2 heaped tablespoons of cream of tartar
2 tablespoons of vegetable or olive oil
    2-3 drops of food colouring
    3-4 drops of food flavoring
    A small amount of water

First of all, measure out your dry ingredients.

Put the dry ingredients together in a bowl, ready to add the other ingredients.

Next, add the vegetable or olive oil.

To that, add the food flavoring.

I have chosen strawberry flavouring as it goes great with the pink food colouring I have picked. I was feeling in the mood for some fun, girly, sweet scented bath bombs. It smells amazing - the whole kitchen smells like strawberry bubble gum! I can't wait to use this tomorrow.

Next, add your food colouring of choice, mine is obviously pink!

I find that a fork makes it much easier to mix all of the ingredients toegether.

Then, start adding the water. You need to be careful that you only add a little water at a time. The aim is only to get the mixture to stick together, so you don't need to add too much.

Now press the mixture into your mould. You want to pack it in really tight, then leave it for a couple of minutes, before gently removing the mould and letting it rest on the cake tin.

Leave them overnight to dry, preferably in an airing cupboard or somewhere warm and dry. I got my brother to clear the top shelf of the airing cupboard, so they wouldn't get knocked.

In the morning, run your lovely warm bath and voila!
